How to get Bible software

The software used on Christian Tech computers for bible study is a program called Logos Library System. The main "program" is free with free updates for life. You pay only for the books that you wish to use in the program. As always there is a cost - but don't despair! Here are some of the best deals on the web so that you can use this powerful tool at home. You'll need at least one bible. Dictionaries, commentaries, maps, cross references, and concordances increase the power and usefulness of the program. Be sure and get any books you currently use in your Bible study, since you are familiar with them.

  • Free logos program from e4 - Get the computer bible program used at CCUM (Logos Library System) with 20 additional books for only the cost of shipping -$7.95! The only disadvantage is that you only get one bible, and no dictionaries or commentaries.
  • NEBRL Basic - A real bargain. Nearly 20 books, bibles and commentaries of real use. $14.95 + s/h.
  • Discover the Bible - A very close second to NEBRL Basic. Compare the bibles and books to decide which you use most. $22.95 + s/h.
  • NAS Electronic Bible Library - Best choice for beginning original language search, a very good value. $34.95 + s/h.
  • BDRL Level 2 - Currently priced less than level 1, a very good choice. $19.95 + s/h.

You may also download the LLS program free of charge from Logos. They offer three books that may be downloaded for free. All LLS format books will work with any and all of the above packages. eBay often carries auctions on these and other packages; search for Logos Bible or Logos Library for best results.
